With almost 30 years experience in the pet industry, and 25 years as a livestock farmer, Alan, understands animals and how to care for them. When he’s not looking after his five dogs, Alan, is a keen sailor and races frequently.
While Brad loves spider monkeys, he’s not at all keen on spiders and can be heard shouting for back up if he finds one in the shop. The best part of his job is helping and chatting to the regular Ark customers. In answer to the question “Baboon vs Badger”, Brad, backs the badger.
Gemma lives on a farm with her dogs and ponies. She’s a qualified hat and body protector fitter, and holds qualifications in pet & equine nutrition. She loves sharing her knowledge and always goes the extra mile for customers. Her commitment to customer service played a big part in Alan’s Ark being named Small Retailer of the Year two years running (2013 & 2014).
Clare has previously worked for the RSPCA and on yards throughout East Anglia. Her experience of working with horses spans a decade.
When she’s not working Clare likes to relax with her 7 year old Staffy, Winks, and her two horses Sully and Gee.
Katie is a keen horse rider and when she’s not out riding, she’s usually walking her dogs. She’s a qualified hat and body protector fitter, and holds qualifications in pet & equine nutrition. For Katie, helping customers get the right product for them and their animal is what she enjoys most about working at the Ark. Her effort to always go above and beyond for customers, was a big contribution to Alan’s Ark being named Small Retailer of the Year two years running (2013 & 2014).
Sarah spent two years as assistant manager of a Stud. Before that she worked at Rossdales night sitting sick horses.
Sarah is kept busy with her three dogs Bo, Jess and Maisie. When she’s not out exercising them she’s usually riding her Irish Sports horse, Bob.
